I was just going to plant out some spinach in a gap I found in the garden but decided to tidy things up while I was there. The potatoes had mostly died back and so I thought I would cut them down a bit and leave them in the ground to store for a couple of weeks. Doing this, I uncovered the leak plants that had been planted in a wide open space but over the months had been swamped by potatoes and squash.

I did get four spinach plants in too.
