Garden veg growing

It is now June and the garden is growing well. Our chillies (which we were not going to bother with this year but did anyway) are flowering. The bonus here is that they have all been transplanted into larger pots filled with our own home made compost.

We have been picking and eating many radish straight from the garden, we are nearly finished. In the space I have planted out a couple of cucumber plants and a group of celery plants. Having never grown celery before we shall see how successful we will be. I’ve planted out a row of spring onion seedlings in the space where carrots never germinated. Having tried a number of times with carrots this year, only a small bit of the row came to anything. I don’t know if the spring onions will grow much before the end of summer but it seemed a worth putting something in instead of the bare soil. Carrots on the plot have had more success although not amazing success. A shame as last year we had great carrots growing in the garden.
