Fresh Poo

I picked up a number of bags of what looked like very fresh manure that has been delivered to the plot. Normally these bags go within seconds but this is the second week of the pile being there and so I thought I would take advantage of them. I notice on other plots people have spread it on top of their empty beds, but taking a look it didn’t seem it had long left the animal. With that in mind I decided I would pile it up on the plot and cover for the next twelve months at which point it should had broken down quite a bit and look less like poo and more like something workable.

The rest of the morning was just tidying up fallen leaves and picking veg to take home:

  • the last turnip (not sure why I left just one)
  • celeriac
  • leek
  • carrots
