Our tomatoes have not done that well this year, a bit like last year and the year before.  I don’t know why we grow them as I find them such a lot of work when trying to grow them outside for little or no reward (apart from the smell which I love).    You really need a greenhouse I think for these, although I did peek over the hedge of someone’s harden and they have loads and loads of bushes with tomatoes on – but maybe they have more time than me.

Some plants have battled on and the signs of small’ish plum shaped tomatoes have appeared.
