Sweet Potatoes Slowly Grow

Having never grown Sweet Potatoes before it has been quite exciting with the seeds we got from the BBC DigIn scheme.   Two things are clear, Sweet Potatoes are very much courgette like (and we are still under huge courgette load here!) in how they grow.  The other, they take a long long time to grow and I suppose we won’t see anything for some months yet.

Until that time, they make a fantastic big flower in the morning that lasts just hours until it folds back up again, and so giving the garden some bright flower while others are still getting started for the day.
