Pumpkins out, garlic in

A couple of warm sunny autumn days allowed me to go to the plot during the day and tidy up the last lot of pumpkin plants and plant some garlic. I had one large pumpkin left to pick which means we have had two large pumpkins and three smaller ones.

I cleared up all the left over squash plants, chopped them up and put them on the compost. This has cleared a lot of the beds which I was able to level off and have ready for planting in the spring time. One of these beds I prepped and planted out garlic, 20 cloves this year. I made a small path next to it from some of the wood chip recently delivered to the plot. Likewise I added three bags on horse manure to the compost which will over time rot down.
