I’ve been visiting in the evenings to do watering, it is super hot at the moment. I’ve been picking lots of broad beans each time, not much black fly and a much much better harvest than last year (which was zero as they got covered in black fly and suffered too much). Part of last year’s fail could be down to the soil, they were planted at the end of the plot where the soil is not that good. Potatoes never do too well there either and it is this year that the potatoes are planted that end. They are growing, but the one row I planted at the other end of the plot is doing much better. I need to put a lot of compost/manure on that end of the plot for next year/
I planted a row of carrots and beetroot.
