I have been holding off putting out any small plants until it stopped being so hot and dry. This week we had our first rain for weeks and so finally put out the purple sprouting and chard. All rather late, but maybe they might catch up now that the weather is feeling more autumnal. The rain might even make the tomato plants look like a bit healthy for the first time since I planted them out.

I took home with me:

• tomato (just one!)
• potatoes (small)
• apples
