The whole purpose of growing veg in the garden is the ability to pick and cook within minutes. While cooking tea we wander out to the garden to decide what we are going to have with it. We win with both food miles and and freshness, it’s like having a larder in the garden.
We have been using:
- peas
- beetroot
- spring onions
Everything looks alive and bright, even the potatoes have had purple and yellow flowers on them.
