Tidying and clearing

It has been a while since last visit and the plot was once again covered in fallen leaves, I spent the first part clearing these up and adding them to compost. The compost is full up once again until the leaves all sink back down again.

I was pleased to see all of the broad beans have germinated along with all the garlic. I cleared up the old pumpkin plants and found an actual small pumpkin hidden within it all. It seems we shall have pumpkin pie this year after all. Cabbages look about ready to cut and the curly kale is now very curly. We have had a couple of early frosts this week and so left over plants are really showing ready to discard. Once again the swedes have not come to anything, the second year in a row. A bit annoying.

I cam home with:

  • kale
  • pumpkin
