It’s been a couple of months since I’ve been on the plot for any serious amount of time, life and weather getting in the way. I have been maybe putting it off, scared to see what I might find having disserted it for so long, but I should not had worried as everything looked fine. The broad beans have survived the freezing and bad weather, I just needed to tie them up a bit more to the supports and straighten things up. I hoed one of the beds to get out the small weeds. There had been a delivery of wood chip and while I wasn’t really wanting to lug up wheelbarrows of woodchip up the hill, I had a couple of goes and managed to renew some of the paths on the plot.
I was able to bring home:
- curly kale
- parsnips
- white cabbage
