Harvest time in the garden

I remember the cucumber harvest of 2019 where it had 40+ of the things and I was giving them away at work. We have never repeated that, mainly because I’ve not grown as many cucumber plants but also because we have never had the same success. I planted a couple of plants in the garden this year and they have looked after themselves quite well. I noticed the other day a cucumber and when I looked closer I found a load of them. I’m quite happy with all that, and lots more on their way.

The tomato plants are looking good with plenty of tomatoes, all green at the moment but I did notice some starting to change colour. They are always quite late in the garden, it will be early September that they will be ready.

After the damage to the sweetcorn on the plot I am pleased we have had another good year in the garden, we picked our first one last night for tea. Likewise I am picking celery sticks as needed. Sweetcorn and celery, the two surprise crops that are doing well in the garden.
