Winter poo and more leaves

The other day I found a new supply of rotted down horse manure, we were out for a walk the other month when we came across a pile with a sign next to it saying “free, please take”. I returned later, with spade and bagged up six lots. I estimate I would need another six bags to do most of the plot, and then another six to fill in any of the gaps. So I shall be returning. For now, I spread it over the top of the soil and shall plant into it within the new year.

I increased the height of the netting that was covering the purple sprouting while also staked the plants up. I also cleared the leaves (again) which has now filled the compost to the top, for now. It will soon level back down again.
