Still no rain, still hot weather, daily watering. Everything is a bit of an orange colour. I have tidied up after the peas and potatoes, nothing to put in to replace those as the garden gets no light during the winter and overwintering has never worked well.

Tomatoes are starting to turn red, normally they don’t do this until late August or early September. Not many tomatoes as the plants have not thrived with the hot and dry summer we are having. Nice to have red tomatoes early though. Indoors we are picking chillies.

I’ve tidied up the onions from the allotment and we have started to use this year’s garlic.
