It hasn’t rained much this month which is a pity as for things like potatoes it is just the month that they need rain, and not just potatoes. It’s not very often I use the hose pipe as I think it waters everything and sometimes nothing, resulting in plants you want watered staying dry and unplanted ground nice and wet for weeds. But I wanted to really give everything a good watering and so we went up in the evening and spent quite a while with the hose pipe.

We picked rhubarb and radish before we came home.

The strawberries are struggling having been replanted earlier on in the year and under the covering of trees coming in from the field. I doubt we will have anything this year as I’ll leave them to grow as much as they can.
