Lots of storms, wind and rain recently, so I was surprised that the plot was not blown all over the place. This morning, nice sunny start to the day, and apart from weeds and leaves, the plot seemed damage free. A lot of tidying up was needed though.
I planted this year’s garlic, 10 bulbs.
I took home:
- beetroot
- carrots
- tomatoes (the last lot, plants have all now been pulled up. After a water starved summer, the tomatoes on the plot actually did better than the ones in the garden)
- courgette
- small pumpkin
The chilies at home have done really well. Having spent most of the summer in need of water (much like the tomatoes) they came to life in the cooler days and produced lots of flowers which turned into lots of chilies.
