The garden, I think, is looking really good and I pretty pleased with that we have done, I just need to cut the grass and then it would look a lot tidier. The shrubs we planted last year have all taken and made everything feel a lot more “jungle” like, lots of different paths to explore (if you are a small child maybe) with sweetcorn and tomato plants towering over you. A concealed area of lawn hidden by a wall of runner and french beans. A row of carrots making it look like a place that Peter Rabbit would be more than happy to spend his time, before being chased off. Even the pear tree has come back alive.

I am excited about the possibility of the sweetcorn, and I like the way that when we cook these days we just take what we need out of the ground, prep and cook.
