Sunny but really windy, I hoped it the trees would shelter me from most of the wind but it was blowing from the other direction. It was a week since last visit but a lot had changed with the first noticeable difference being the raspberries now had fruits. I picked some of these and eat them straight away. The potatoes had also grown a lot and some starting to flower. They look a lot better than last year, a lot more growth, potatoes always do better at this end of the plot.

The strong wind was annoying, I hurried around hoeing and weeding. I had to weed the onions, it was badly overdue and a result of them being under netting but it didn’t take long.

I planted out sweetcorn and young courgette plants which I hope were actually courgettes and not butternut squash or cucumbers. I should had labelled them.

Next time I’m at the plot I hope it is a lot less windy and I can spend more time pottering about.
