Last row of potatoes before it rains

Sun, a small bit of warmth, but plenty of rain means the plot and it’s bindweed was in full action. They say, if you keep pulling it up then after a year or two you managed to get rid of it. Six years later and I’m still going, so I’m not so sure about that.

It was getting dark even though it was still early evening, the black cloud was getting nearer and so I didn’t waste time in planting the last row of potatoes. We now have four rows.

The heavy rain started as I was picking purple sprouting and rhubarb…
