It’s either been raining, or windy, or raining and windy… today was the first day for a while that I fancied going up to the plot. It was neither raining or windy, the sky was clear and it was actually quite warm, in the sun.
The purple sprouting is still suffering, the netting keeps getting blown off which is not a surprise as we have had really strong winds. I put the netting back and generally tidied up the plot.
I pruned all of the soft fruit and I dug a bit more out of the strawberry bed. Just a little bit each time. I also cut down some of the brambles coming in from the field, I’m tempted to put up scaffold netting on the fence to sort out the brambles and weeds from the field.
I dug up some parsnips to take home.
