I dug up the remaining parsnips, not the best harvest but better than nothing. They will be chopped up and frozen.

The other thing to do was to continue sorting out he raspberry canes which I started last week. A lot of double digging and loads of rogue raspberries and bindweed root removed. I now have three rows done and was close to finishing before I ran out of time. I also weeded some of the fruit cage, trimmed the bushes a little bit (need to do this properly) and put down some cardboard and woodchip to help deter the weeds. I know it won’t completely but where I did the same last year on other parts of the cage it was less weedy and look seconds to dig up those that were there.

Meanwhile at home, the leeks I sowed the other week have all come up.
