Yum, our first pickings this year and it went very well with crumble and custard! Tom and Jack picked and cut it all up, I cooked it in a saucepan with 1 tablespoon of water for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, we made the crumble mix (which chopped nuts in) and put that on a baking tray, popped into the oven for 10 minutes (turning halfway) which gave us a nice crunchy crumble. Added the two together and kept heated in the oven until we were ready.
