Left for just a week and it is like a jungle. The potatoes went wild over shadowing everything, so I tied them back a bit and really within a couple of weeks they should be starting to die back. I uncovered leeks and butternut squash plants that I knew were in there somewhere but had not seen a lot of daylight for a while. The tomatoes need tying up which I will do tomorrow, while the squash plants need a bit of training off the edge of the bed.
I cut the grass, not with the strimmer but with the lawn mower – I need to get some petrol and oil.
We are picking beetroot and peas, I pulled up the over wintered onions.
